The Plugins We Use

This is an alphabetical list of the plugins we actively use on this Wordpress installation.

  • Akismet v2.2.6 by Matt Mullenweg — Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.” To show off your Akismet stats just put <?php akismet_counter(); ?> in your template. See also: WP Stats plugin.
  • Attachment Manager v2.0.2 by Aaron D. Campbell — This will allow you to better manage how your plugins are handled.
  • Audio player v2.0b6 by Martin Laine — Audio Player is a highly configurable but simple mp3 player for all your audio needs. You can customise the player’s colour scheme to match your blog theme, have it automatically show track information from the encoded ID3 tags and more. Go to your Settings page to start configuring it.
  • Blubrry PowerPress v1.0.3 by BlubrryBlubrry PowerPress adds podcasting support to your blog. Features include: media player, 3rd party statistics, iTunes integration, Blubrry Services (Media Statistics and Hosting) integration and a lot more.
  • Excerpt Editor v1.3 by Andrew Ozz — Add or edit excerpts for Posts and Pages.
  • Get The Image v0.3.3 by Justin Tadlock — This is a highly intuitive script that can grab an image by custom field input, post attachment, or extracting it from the post’s content.
  • Microkid’s Related Posts v2.4 by Microkid — Display a set of manually selected related items with your posts
  • SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam v2.1.1 by Mike Challis — Adds CAPTCHA anti-spam methods to WordPress on the comment form, registration form, login, or all. This prevents spam from automated bots. Also is WPMU and BuddyPress compatible. Settings | Donate
  • Subscribe2 v5.1 by Matthew Robinson — Notifies an email list when new entries are posted. For support visit the Subscribe2 forum.
  • Viper’s Plugins Used v1.12 by Viper007Bond — Allows you to display alphabetically what plugins you have enabled on your blog in either a table or unordered list. Also allows you to set custom descriptions for the plugins in the output.
  • Wibiya Plugin v1.0 by michaelD — wibiya wibar
  • wpLicense v1.2.2 by Nathan R. Yergler — Allows selection of a Creative Commons license for blog content.
